My Best Friend, the Homeless Man Essay Example for Free

My Best Friend, the Homeless Man EssayBuddha once utter, Instead of judging a man by his appearance, look at bottom their heart, and read what it is their soul wrote. I was raised in a family, which at times, could be real judgmental of people. My family lived in an upper-class neighborhood where in that respect was no p all overty or dispossessedness. My parents made sure my brother and I had all the best clothes, the newest cell phones and laptops, they spent a lot of money sending us to the best schools on the east coast, our education was very important to them. We both had tutors for different subjects, and my parents required us to take lessons three times a week, on the instrument of our choice. As it would turn turn out though, the greatest lesson I have always learned, and the greatest friendship I have ever chousen, would come from a homeless man and his cut across. Although I didnt know it when I met him, knowing Brent would give me something more valuable tha n any earthly possession, it would make me a better person. The summer following my senior year of high school was a hectic confusing time in my life.I went from living in a small quiet suburban neighborhood in New Jersey my whole life, to moving to a big, noisy city in Arizona, 3000 miles outside from home. It was my first time being on my own away from my family, especially in a place so far from where I lived my whole life. I went from having my parents taking care of me my whole life, to suddenly having to take care of myself. Ill never forget how hot it was, summers in New Jersey rarely ever reach over 95 degrees, and that is only on the hottest daytimes of the year. Un wish New Jersey, the first summer I spent in Arizona reached over 125 degrees. It was one of those excruciatingly hot days the day that I met Brent. August was coming to an end, and school was about to start. I had orientation all day and I was exhausted. On my way home from orientation, I realized I needed ciga rettes, and since I didnt know my way around the area very well I stopped at the first place I saw. It was a little liquor store on the corner of 31st Avenue. I pulled into the parking lot and parked my car, that was the first time I saw them. A homeless man was sitting on the curb outside the store, his dog sprawled out nearby in a more shaded area of the parking lot.The dog designmed to be in better shape than its master was. She was a effectual red-nose pit bull, with a beautiful, full coat of fur. The man on the other hand looked dirty like he hadnt showered in weeks. His clothes were filthy, as was his matted hair, and he looked like he hadnt eaten in just about as long as he hadnt showered. As I passed the pit bull to go into the store I noticed that she was wearing shoes on both her back paws. I would later find out that she had been paralyzed in both hind legs during a procedure to get her fixed. Without those special shoes, she would not have been able to walk at all.Whil e I was in the store buying my merchandise, I thought to myself how hot it was outside. I wondered to myself when the last time the dog had eaten was. The homeless, dirty looking man, didnt look like he had any money to feed himself, never mind his dog, so I bought some dog food and chips for them. I remember thinking to myself, What loving of person lives like that? Who would ever be out in public looking so filthy? I knew nothing about this man, yet I judged him at the time, on appearance alone. As I paid for my items I was feeling a little nervous about approaching the man.He was homeless after all, and I didnt want to get robbed. When I returned outside to give the homeless man the food I had bought for him, his dog approached me and wagged her tail. He thanked me, and threw the buns of dog food I had just bought to the dog. To my surprise she picked up the can, and carrying it in her mouth, she walked back to her spot in the shade. I introduced myself, and told him I was new to the area, he said his name was Brent, and the red-nose pit bull was Little Girl. We said our good-byes, and I started on my walk back to my apartment. Since I was new in Arizona, I didnt know anyone.I felt really lonely and depressed a lot of the time, and I desperately missed home. Over the adjoining six months, I would see Brent and Little girl almost every day on my walk home from school. I would stop and say hi frequently. Our conversations became womb-to-tomb and longer as the months went on, and eventually Brent became my best friend. I found out that he was in the Navy for 8 years earlier he got breach overseas. He started to drink a lot after his injury, and that is why he was homeless, he couldnt stop drinking. He was from back east like I was his only family in Arizona was Little Girl.I was right about one thing when I met him, he took better care of her then he did himself. We talked about everything and anything for hours, sometimes he would come over and shower and eat, although he didnt like to do that too much, he had too much pride. I trusted him, and he never did anything to betray that trust. He always encouraged me to stay in school. He would tell me to stay on the right dustup in life, because one day youll wake up, and youre not 21 anymore, your old, and you havent touched even half of what you set out to accomplish so many years before.I had the privilege of having Brent and Little Girl in my life for three wonderful years. A couple weeks before Easter, in 2011, Brent caught pneumonia. I called 911 when I saw how sick he was getting, and they took him to the hospital. I sat with him all that night. Brent slipped into a coma early the next morning, and two days after Easter, he was gone. Little Girl passed away only a week after her best friend. Even though I lost the best friend I have ever known, I am thankful for the lessons Brent and Little girl taught me. Never now is there a time I see a homeless man and judge him by his lo ok, I started instead to judge ones soul.

President of the English Department Student Association Essay in that respect is no student incapable of learning, only teachers incapable of instruction. I became particularly enamored of this statement during my fourth year tenet. To raise the caliber of my instruction, to reside in a new cultural environment and broaden my horizons, and to facilitate a sincere desire to aid student development, I am laying passel my comfortable and secure government position to apply for entrance to your Masters program in TESOL for the Fall semester of 2001.I have always had an comminuted faculty member surgical procedure at school, but unlike those who only have good grades, I also understood the signifi undersidece of leading a all-round(prenominal) student life. Not only have I participated in many different kinds of activities and competitions, but I have also held various part-time jobs with the lead my life experience is far richer than my peers. A particular benefit of this is that I am more tolerant and understanding of others and appreciative of the strengths peculiar to individuals. My parents are twain numberary school teachers, and they place great emphasis on childrens reading development. Thus we siblings all cultivated good learning habits. Therefore, during my undergraduate years, I was in the habit of fully previewing reading material that professors assigned before giving lectures, in addition to the usual taking of notes. I also make full use of library services and materials to supplement my reading. As a result, in both linguistics and literature, I consistently earned good grades and tended to be a more creative student. I graduated from college as the number one government-sponsored student in my graduating class (there were 25 of us) and won a galactic number of scholarships in the process.Although I work hard at whatever I do, I have always been generous sharing the fruits of my efforts with others. Scholastic performance is course im portant, but the mutual learning process inspired by sharing ones knowledge and experiences with others is even more important. Through my teaching, I hope to inculcate students with a similar attitude and inspire them to base their self-assurance on themselves and not look for it from others. In addition to strictly academic pursuits, I participated in many societies and organizations, playing many leading roles.I held several interesting part-time positions such as Stage Management admirer for the Russian Sligo Ballet Dance Company, Campaign Assistant during the presidential election campaign for the now-ruling Democratic Progressive Party, and as Translator for the 1994 Taipei International mash Show in World Trade Center. Continuing to earn high grades, I attended the Department of English at Chang Hua University of Education on scholarship. My abiding interest in English ensured I was highly motivated but the well-chosen course materials also naturally engendered interest. In 1997, because of my good performance, I was assigned to Taipei Municipal Fu-Hsing Senior High School to complete my teaching practice. A year later, I became a certified English teacher and have been teaching there until now. During the past three years, I have taken one class of students through an built-in three-year cycle of studies ending in graduation, and from this have noted that the dry nature of language studies unnecessarily renders this subject less than captivating to most students. Here in Taiwan, there is intense pressure on students facing the national college entrance examination with the result that grade school instruction focuses on grammar, as this is the elevation subject tested by the exam. Fortunately, in the last several years Taiwan h as been going through a transition period of educational reform and the stress has changed from the dull ritual of grammar studies to the more colorful participatory style of community language learning.Furthermore, high schools are now given more latitude tailoring programs to their needs, all of which represents a paradigm change from the Japanese educational style to the American which emphasizes personal development and independent thought. To achieve my potential as a teacher operating within this new and still developing system, I wish to study and research a variety of general teaching methodologies, in addition to linguistics teaching methodologies. Reviewing your catalogue, I have been very impressed with your curriculum, faculty, facilities, and overall academic environment.I have discovered your curriculum and developmental style is in great accord with my needs and, because your school is located in one of the worlds economic and cultural center, I gestate it to offer both an outstanding curriculum and an exceptional environment for cultural immersion. Recently, preparing for the TOEFL and TSE, I have taken a great interest in assessing second language acquisition. The CLOZE Test and Reading Comprehension Test and other related preparatory tests are relatively disorganized and less than ideally utile at present. Thus I hope to make a concrete contribution to the improvement of this aspect of English language instruction upon my return. I confide I possess the enthusiasm and determination to successfully enhance my skills teaching English as a second language, but I also call up that self-improvement is the most important thing in my life. Only by setting myself up as an example, knowing my own strengths and weaknesses, and trying to improve myself, can I have the confidence to step up to a platform and teach students. After all, teaching is not only about inculcating students with a body of practical skills, but also about investing them with moral courage and character education during the process. As such, I make a point of ensuring I have spare time for my students after school and I thus find the progress of my students to be very fulfilling. Highly motivated, resolute, and more than willing to leave the time and effort to complete your program, I sincerely hope you will accept my candidacy. In closing, I would like to express my gratitude for your review of my application materials, and I thank you for your time.

Stem Cells for Cell Replacement Therapy in Parkinsons

Stem Cells for Cell Replacement Therapy in ParkinsonsStem Cells for Cell Replacement Therapy verbalize AL HakmaniIntroductionParkinsons indisposition is a movement disorder that results from damage to the neurons in the sense that produce the chemical named dopamine. The dopamine sends signals to parts of the disposition that controls movement, allowing movement of smooth muscles. In Parkinsons disease there is loss of the dopamine neurons. Symptoms of the disease include abnormal movement and tremor when a real amount of dopamine has been lost. It is still not kn consume exactly what ca holds Parkinsons disease and the detailed pathophysiology is an atomic number 18a of active research (1, 13).Parkinsons disease is of progressive nature, which implies that it deteriorates with time. ba commit this happens gradually over numerous years. On the former(a) hand, researchers are doing a great deal of exploration to better comprehend what is occurring in the carrell. Some studie s specify that Parkinson disease is associated with an abnormal gene in some individuals, however so far there is insufficient evidence to demonstrate that its genetically catching (1). Braaks hypothesis recommends that Parkinsons disease starts in the digestive tract and in the brains centre of smell. The hypothesis is upheld by the way that side effects affiliated with digestion and smell happen at an early stage of the disease. Professor Jia- Yi Lis research team has now possessed the capacity to tack this methodology further, from the gut to the brain in rat homunculuss. The experiment demonstrates how the poisonous protein alpha-synuclein is exchanged starting with one electric cell, then onto the next before arriving at the brains movement center, hint to the characteristic movement impairment seen in Parkinsons disease. He proves that disease accomplish really can go from the peripheral anxious(p) sy infrastructure to the central nervous sy topic, in this situation fro m the wall of the gut to the brain (3, 23).Usually people start to have symptoms of Parkinsons disease between the ages of 50 and 60 years. only if in certain cases it starts earlier. The first arrangeing symptom of Parkinsons disease is tremor (shaking or trembling). It affect the hands, fortifys, or legs. It is one of the most common signs, but not everyone has it. Also, not every proboscis with a tremor has Parkinsons disease. The tremor often starts only on one side of the body or just one arm or leg. In addition, Parkinsons disease can cause stiff muscles all through the body, so it causes problems like inconvenience gulping or constipation. In the later phases of Parkinsons disease a person may have fixed expression, trouble talking and other problems. Some individuals lose mental skills (1, 22). approximate 1 shows the nerve cells in the brain (1)The power of bowing cellStem cells have the potential to develop into various cell sorts in the body during life and schedule vexth. In many different tissues they serve as a sort of internal repair syal-Qaeda, dividing without limit to replace other cells as long as the animal or person is alive. At the point, when a stem cell drainage basins, every new cell has the capacity either to catch ones breath a stem cell or get to be an alternate kind of cell with a more specific function, for example, a red farm animal cell, a muscle cell, or a brain cell and other cells (5).The stem cells are featured from other cell founts by two innate characteristics. First, they are capable of renewing themselves through cell division, frequently after long periods of inactivity. Second, under some physiologic or trail conditions, stem cell can become tissue- or organ-particular cells with special functions. In particular organs, for example, the gut and bone marrow, they consistently separation to repair and supplant exhausted or harmed tissues. Moreover, in diverse organs, for example, the heart and the pancreas, st em cell just partition under exceptional conditions (5, 20).Researchers fundamentally worked with two sorts of undeveloped cells from animals and gentle embryonic stem cells and non-embryonic stem cells.Researchers in 1981 found approaches to get embryonic stem cells from early cringe embryos. In 1998 the definite investigation of the science of mouse undifferentiated cells prompted the revelation of homophile stem cells. However, these cells are called human embryonic stem cells. The embryos utilized in these studies were the result of invitro fertilization strategies for re crossroadive purposes. When they were no more required for that reason, they were donated for research with the assured consent of the donor (5, 21). Scientists made an alternate achievement by distinguishing conditions that would permit some particular adult cells to be reprogrammed to accept stem cell-like pass on in 2006. This new sort of stem cell, called induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) (5).The se IPS cells may be used in the future to puzzle out the patients own cells, a safe cell source that is free from other factor which affects the patient. Animal studies in rat and mouse have been carried out to test the disaster of replacing the lost neurons and results have shown that these cells can develop into dopamine neurons. In human studies, it is possible to measure the step-up of dopamine neuron function in the striatum of the patient by using positron emission tomography (5).The Stem cells are essential for living organisms for different reasons. In the three to 5 days old embryos, called a blastocyst, the internal cells give rise to the entire body of the organism, including all of the many specific cell sorts and organs for example, the lungs, heart, skin and other tissues. In certain adult tissues, such as bone marrow, brain, and muscle, the adult stem cells create replacements for cells that are lost through ordinary injury, or disease. The stem cells diagnose ne w potentials for treating diseases such as heart disease and Parkinson disease. However, much work remains to be carried out in the research facility to pull in how to use these cell therapies to treat disease (5).Research on stem cells continues to advance about how can an organism develops from a single cell and how can hearty cells replace damaged cells in adult organisms. The stem cell research is one of the fascinating areas in contemporary biology (5).Many researchers believe that embryonic stem cell could be an excellent source of dopamine neurons because they can grow in a gardening dish and make into any type of cell after long time in culture. Now, the dopamine neurons have been generated from the man embryonic stem cell. One research paper used the special type of companion cell with specific growth factors to promote the differentiation of the embryonic stem cell through several stages into dopamine producing cell (5).Growth of the Human Embryonic Stem CellTo grow t he human embryonic stem cell, the cells will grow in the culture dish and will spread and divide on the surface of the media. The culture dish contains the mouse feeder cell which provides the nutrients into the culture media to grow the cell. However, researchers now devised a method to grow the embryonic stem cells without mouse feeder cells to avoid the risk of transfer of viruses from the media to the human (5,6 ,18).The tests used to identify embryonic stem cells in the laboratory are lacking. But, the laboratories that grow the human embryonic stem cells use different types of test such asGrowing and subculture of the stem cell for many months to make sure of the health of the cell. The use of techniques to determine the presence of transcription factors that are produced by undifferentiated cells. on that point are two important transcription factors Nanog and Oct-4. Both factors help the genes to turn on and off to maintain stem cell undifferentiation and self-renewal (5, 24 ).Conversion of human ES and iPS cellsOne study of culture of stem cell found that the effectiveness of PSCs mouse derived DA neurons have shown efficacy in the models of Parkinson Disease. The developing mesencephalon is characterized by expression of the floor plate (FP) marker FOXA2 and the roof plate marker LMX1A. basic WNT signalling is critical for both roof plate function and midbrain DA neuron evolution. WNT activation incite LMX1A expression and a neurogenic change of PSCs derived midbrain FP towards DA neuron fate. Exposure to CHIR potent GSK3B inhibitor known to strong activate WNT signalling induce LMX1A in FOXA2 and FP precursors. CHIR is more potent than recombinant WNT3A or WNT at inciting LMX1A expression. The efficiency of LMX1A creation depends on the time of CHIR exposure it effect from 3-11 days. Thus, CHIR is the most critical factor for inducing coexpression of FOXA2/LMX1A. FOXA2/LMX1A coexpression require strong expression of SHH signalling using purmorph amine small molecule agonist. word with SHH agonist and FGF8 in the absence of CHIR show significant lower expression of FOXA2 by day11 and complete absence of LMX1A expression. An expression of, NGN2, LMX1A and DDC showed establishment of midbrain neuron precursor fate already by day11. Both midbrain FP and DA neuron evidence ready to reproduce in independent ES cell and human induced PSCs line. In culture TH positive cells showed coexpression with NURR1 only in FP derived DA neurons coexpressed FXOA2 and LMX1A. Few GABA and serotonin can observe. But, DA level present in culture about eight times higher in FP (9, 12, 15, 19).There are several lines of evidence to demonstrate a crucial subroutine for SMAD signalling during neural induction. Studies in frog identified bone morphogenic protein (BMP) inhibitors, including, follistatin, chordin and noggin as the basic neural affecting factors in the Spemann organizer (10).The drug SB431542 was demonstrated to alter neural prompting in an embryoid body-based hES cell neural induction protocol. SB431542 inhibits the Lefty/Activin/TGF pathways by blocking phosphorylation of the ALK5, ALK4, and ALK7 receptors. In addition, Noggin or SB431542 treatment improves the neural induction and blockade the SMAD signalling to achieve full neural conversion. The hES cells were exposed for 72 hours to the drug SB431542 or Noggin and observed the growth factor of neural induction was monitored by expression of PAX6 earliest marker of neuroectodermal differentiation. The combined treatment with both Noggin and SB431542 increased the efficiency of neural induction to more than eighty percent of add up cells , compared with less than ten percent PAX6 cells when used Noggin or SB431542 alone(10, 17).However, the only PAX6a converts the human embryonic stem cell to neuroectoderm (11, 16).Figure 2 show the model of proposed mechanisms contribute the action of Noggin and SB431542 (10).From the diagram above at the higher density, e ssentially CNS cells that are PAX6 are formed which are equipped of freehand rise to R-NS cells and example capable neuronal populations of motoneurons and dopaminergic neurons inside 19 days of differentiation. While at lower densities both CNS fates and neural crest fates are observed. The neural crest lineages include melanocytes and the neural crest precursor cells amenable to designing and subtype determination reactions (10, 18).In this figure3 shows one research on mice how the people accent to make new dopamine. Isolated ventralmidbrain cells were expanded and patterned in vitro before to transfection to overexpress WNTs. The cell phenotype was examined following in the vitro differentiation or transplantation into Parkinsonian mice. Morphogens SHH and FGF8 significant increase the proportion of TH positive spheres out of total spheres compared with FGF2 treatment alone (13).DopamineDopamine is a chemical signal that transfers information from one neuron and the next neuro n. The receptors found on the cell surface bumps the signals down to the receiving neurons. The dopamine interested in many different important pathways and it found primarily in the mesolimbic pathways which starts with cells in the ventral tegmental area in the midbrain (2).Dopamine plays a number of roles in human and other animals. It controls many functions such as movement, memory, pleasurable reward, attention, sleep, learning, mood, ban of prolactin production, and behaviour. The increase and deficiency of this dopamine chemical are the cause of several diseases like Parkinson disease. In the brain, part called the basal ganglia controls movement. Basal ganglia thus rely on upon a certain amount of dopamine to function. The action of this occurs by dopamine receptors D 1-5. The deficiency in dopamine in the brain may become delayed and uncoordinated the movement and other function of the body (3).The dopamine is an important neurotransmitter in the brain. Substantial part o f the overall dopamine in the body is produced outside the brain by mesenteric organs. The production of dopamine within the central nervous system, depend on the dopamine biosynthesis. There are two steps of dopamine biosynthesis takes place in the cytosol of CAergic neurons and starts with hydroxylase of L-tyrosine at the phenol ring by tyrosine hydroxylase to produce DOPA(4, 14).Figure4 shows the neuronal dopamine metabolism(4).This figure5 show how process of the fibroblasts are taken to culture to induce neural stem cells to make dopamine neurons and transfer to the patient to functional recovery (25).Good Manufacturing PracticeThere are many challenges to the use of stem cells for replacement therapy. However, the good manufacturing practice (GMP) is a quality assurance system that is used to make sure the product of stem cells is good and safe to use for treatment. The GMP in human embryonic stem cell culture required several components for good clinical practice. First, the culture or the feeder media that use in the laboratory must be reached with standard of GMP. That is why so many are now trying to grow these cells in feeder free conditions. Finally, all components of the culture and cryopreservation media should be validated for use in the GMP system and be non animal derived products (7).The ethical issue border the use of embryonic cell need be carefully controlled. In UK human embryonic stem cell can gathered from left over embryos produced as part of in vitro fertilisation. This can done under strict UK guidelines from Human Fertilisation Embryology Authority (HFEA) and the human tissue authority (HTA) only in the early stage embryos can be used in research up to a maximum of fourteen days of development(8).ConclusionIn my conclusion, the development of the research in the recent year will found the treatment of some diseases that affect the human in the neuron system like Parkinsons disease. In addition, the study of stem cell research may t reat disease by transplanted the cell to the body of the human, but the risk factor that makes this study difficult is the potential of the stem cell growth. The study of stem cell factor may solve the problem of cell growth. Also, the feeder that use to make culture is important to grow the cell without any contamination. There are many factors that help the stem cell to grow in the culture dish. These factors make stem cell to grow fast and convert to the different type of tissue organs. Also, there are some inhibitors that inhibited the factors when stem cells are converted to the different sorts. The research on the stem cell still under the process of trail. It is successful to treat some disease, but in other disease is still trying in animal model if its successful may try with human, those have Parkinsons disease.

Pages 20 through 25 of Bacchae by Euripides :: Bacchae Euripides Greek Plays Essays

Pages 20 through 25 of Bacchae by EuripidesThe reason that Bacchae by Euripides was chosen as a circle text to beexamined on is because it is a classic ancient Greek performance. Itoffers us a look at how the Greeks lived in a completely oppositeculture to ours. It also shows us how important religion was to themand how they worshipped different gods to us it is very interestingbecause this is how theatre started off in ancient Greece. Fromchoosing a piece of drama this old, we can see how our theatre todayhas developed from previous ideas and techniques. Another benefit ofusing the Bacchae is that it is the first ancient Greek looseness of the bowels I havestudied and so offers challenge, the Greek way of life is a whole newculture to get used to.The scene that I have chosen to act out from the play is betwixt pages20 and 25 of the play and it is the part of the play in which Pentheusand Dionysos first meet distributively other. I have chosen this scene because Ibelieve that it is a very important part of the play. It is a scenethat contains a lot of stichomythia between the two very importantcharacters in the play. This scene is a scene that would be enjoyableto act out, and also I feel that it is one of my favorite(a) scenes inthe play.I volition be playing Pentheus in the scene I have chosen to act out fromthe Bacchae. Also I volition be playing Pentheus in the devised scene thatme and the other three members of my group for the devised scene willbe writing and acting out. Although for the scene from the original account book I will be working in a group of two, in the devised scene Iwill be working in a group of four, this is for a wider range ofBacchae characters to use in the devised piece. The content of thisscene will include a dialogue between the original Bacchae charactersof Pentheus, Dionysos, Agave and Kadmos. The scenes, which we willinclude, will be a scenario in which Dionysos visits the house ofPentheus, A fight scene between Pentheus a nd Dionysus with music inthe background and Kadmos Narrating the scene. The devised piece will finish up with the realisation that whilst fighting, Pentheus and Dionysoswhere approached by Kadmos, when the old man tried to stop thefighting, just as in the Bacchae he was ignored. A stray fist leads tothe death of Kadmos and the crowning(prenominal) betrayal on the behalf of

Graduation Speech: We Are Heros :: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address

Id like to start by thanking everyone who has come tonight, because without you we would never harbor made it this far. Its been a long weighty journey. Each one of us has gone through our own trials and tribulations. But the one thing that all of us piss in common is that passim the years we all had friends to share in the good clippings and the bad. Without friends this journey would have been impossible. Our friends gave us someone to talk to when times were bad, only when most significantly they provided us laughs and many adventures. Now that our high school career has come to an end we will go our separate ways. This however does not mean that we have to lose contact with those whom we have spent so much time with. To lose contact would mean to lose part of our past. That is why I am asking each one of those graduating tonight to stay in tactual sensation with those who have gotten us this far. There should be no reason to lose touch in todays world of technology. By sta ying in touch the good times will be remembered and hopefully new adventures will be explored. The real pass on though, that I would like to leave to the class of 2006, is to undertake whatever your future holds to the best of your ability. Im standing up here tonight, not because I am the smartest person, but because I took everything that school had to offer in stride. Even on nights when I wouldnt get home till midnight from sporting events, I still found time to finish my homework. I guess what I am trying to say is, as we move on into the next stage of our lives we will be approach with even more distractions than we could ever have imagined. Up until now life has been pretty easy. But, now that we are moving into another stage of our lives we will be burdened with new responsibilities and commitments. If there is any hope for anyone of us to succeed at what we have chosen to undertake, we are going to have to stay focussed and use everything that we have learned thus far. If we dont, the harsh reality of the real world will catch us with our back turned. We will never have the slightest clue what hit us.
